Living, Breathing, and Being Theology

Some hear the words "living theology" and immediately think of the emergent church. I've often expressed that I have sympathies with the emergent concept of community and togetherness for the Christian body, but would sharply oppose the separation that has occurred from biblical orthodoxy. That stated not as a disclaimer, but as a statement of purpose, that I wholly agree that our lives of transformation are to be not only necessitated and lived out in the context of the local church, but in our social constructs as well. After all, how will one know the love of Christ that is supposedly manifest in the believer if they do not experience that love through the life of one of His followers and their proclamation of His Gospel?

and how will they know the love of Christ if they don't know who He is?

That's what I'm saying. What is the Gospel? Is it just rhetoric? Is it just A, B, and C BLAMMO? Or is it something much more, much deeper than just 4 spiritual laws or Way of The Masterisms?

Hey,
Saw your entry at Alan's blog so I came over to say hey. What a wonderful testimony & story you have. It caught my eye right away as my husband and his family & many friends all share similiar stories.... though many haven't been freed yet and are still in jail - spiritually & literally. Thanks for the reminder that there's always hope in Him.

Thanks for the visit Randi! Appreciate it. Hope to hear more from you. I cannot account or take any credit for my testimony, for I can only boast in Christ and Him alone. It is sad when friends and family members are caught up in the "grip", and I have many of my friends from our original "group" that are dead now....some (who's left) are bad off and on their way...
